Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs Russet potatoes, cut into 1/4 inch sticks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Cut the Russet potatoes into uniform 1/4 inch sticks.
  2. Soak the potato sticks in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain the potatoes and pat them completely dry with a clean towel.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the dried fries with 2 tablespoons of olive oil until coated.
  5. Add the Cajun seasoning, salt, and smoked paprika to the bowl and toss again to distribute evenly.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  7. Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer or shallow pile.
  8. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.
  9. Let the fries rest for 2 minutes before serving.
