Description

A savory breakfast casserole featuring fluffy biscuit pieces, melty mozzarella cheese, and a blend of fresh parsley and chives for a bright, buttery morning meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated flaky biscuit dough
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish with melted butter to ensure the bake doesn't stick.
  3. Cut each refrigerated biscuit into quarters to create small, bite-sized pieces.
  4. In a small bowl, toss together the chopped parsley and chives.
  5. Place half of the biscuit pieces into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  6. Evenly spread 1 cup of shredded mozzarella and half of the herb mixture over the biscuit layer.
  7. Add the remaining biscuit pieces on top of the cheese.
  8. Top with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella, the rest of the herbs, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  10. Allow the bake to cool for 5 minutes before slicing into squares.
