- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 lbs Russet potatoes, peeled
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat; drain excess fat.
- Add onions and carrots to the beef and sauté until softened.
- Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in frozen peas and remove from heat.
- Boil potatoes in salted water until tender; drain and mash with butter and cream.
- Pour the meat filling into a baking dish and smooth the top.
- Pipe mashed potato mounds on top and carve ghost faces with a toothpick.
- Broil for 3-5 minutes until potato peaks are golden brown.
