- 6 slices Sourdough Bread
- 1/2 cup Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp Fresh Chives, finely chopped
- 6 slices Deli Turkey or Ham
- 6 slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 6 slices Cucumber
- 1/2 cup Sliced Black Olives (for garnish)
Instructions
- Mix softened cream cheese and chopped chives in a small bowl until smooth.
- Spread a thick layer of the herb cream cheese on one side of each bread slice.
- Layer turkey, cheddar cheese, and cucumber on the bread slices.
- Close the sandwiches and press gently to secure the fillings.
- Using a sharp knife, cut each sandwich into a rectangle with a rounded top to resemble a tombstone.
- Use a toothpick to carve 'RIP' into the top of the bread or pipe it with a small amount of cream cheese.
- Arrange the sandwiches upright on a platter, surrounding them with black olives to look like dirt.
