Description

Spider Deviled Eggs are a fun and festive twist on a classic appetizer, perfect for Halloween or any gathering. These creamy, flavorful bites feature a delightful surprise: black olives shaped like little spiders perched atop each egg. With zesty mustard and rich mayonnaise, these deviled eggs promise to impress your guests with both their taste and presentation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/4 cup full-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 pitted black olives (for decoration)
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the Eggs: Place eggs in a pot, cover with cold water, bring to a boil, cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath.
  2. Prepare the Filling: Peel eggs, slice in half lengthwise, and scoop yolks into a bowl. Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Fill the Egg Whites: Spoon or pipe yolk mixture into egg white halves.
  4. Create Spider Legs: Slice olives in half for bodies; cut additional slices into quarters for legs. Place half on top of each filled egg with four leg pieces on either side.
  5. Garnish: Sprinkle paprika over each egg before serving.
